Lawh Mahfuz is specifically mentioned in the Quran in Surah Al-Buruj verse 22, which reads: Fi lauhim mahfuz. And it seems that in this surah alone, the word ‘Lawh Mahfuz’ is specifically mentioned.
In other surahs, the Book of Lawh Mahfuz is mentioned in a different form, such as: Mother of the Book (Ummu al-Kitab), Book that is Preserved (Kitabbim Maknuun), Clear Book (Kitabbim Mubiin).
In Islamic theology, Lawh Mahfuz is believed to be a “heavenly tablet” that contains information about everything that has happened and will happen in the universe, including the fate of all living creatures.
In a more modern view,Lawh Mahfuz is called the “universe server” referring to the view of some people who try to explain this concept in modern language – using analogies or metaphors – that are more easily understood by the general public. But however, ‘Lawh Mahfuz’ is certainly far more complex and meaningful than the term “universe server.”
Esoteric, mystical, and spiritual views of the West, such as Rosicrucianism that developed since the 17th century and still exist today, such as the Ancient Mystical Order Rosae Crucis (AMORC), Rosicrucian Fellowship, believe that for thousands of years, holy men, monks, or shamans have accessed ‘Lawh Mahfuz or the “universe server” to obtain information about the past or information about the future.
Before the term “universe server” emerged, Western mystics referred to ‘Lawh Mahfuz as the ‘Akashic Records.’
Literally, Akashic Records means “sky records” (Akashic comes from the Sanskrit word ‘akasha,’ which means “sky”; Records mean “records”).
Akashic Records is a spiritual concept that comes from esoteric and metaphysical traditions. This concept refers to a cosmic library or universal archive that contains records of every event, action, thought, and event that occurs in the universe, both that has happened in the past, is happening in the present, and will happen in the future.
Today we know the term ‘Cloud,’ which is a centralized data storage medium that can be accessed. The term and workings of ‘Cloud’ in many ways seem to adopt the concept of ‘Akashic Records.’
In the imagination of the 21st century, the ‘universe server’ or ‘Akashic Records’ is a place where all living beings are connected to each other and to the universe through an energy network called the “Akasha Network.” So, this is exactly like the internet network.
Yes, when in the 20th century Allah introduced us to internet technology which was then used massively by the earth’s population in the 21st century, we can see this 21st century as a time when humans access and connect through 2 global networks.
My detailed discussion of the 2 global networks accessible to humans can be read in this article: Lawh Mahfuzh and the Internet, Two Global Networks Accessed by Humans.
In this article I also discuss the Noosphere concept presented by Pierre Teilhard de Chardin. According to Teilhard, the noosphere is the covering of thoughts that surrounds the earth that emerges through and is based on the interaction of the human mind. The interaction then forms a global mind (mind planetization).
Understanding Lawh Mahfuz using the Onomastic method
Onomastic is the study of the origin and meaning of names.
To find out the “particular meaning” behind the name ‘Lawh Mahfuz’, onomastic is one of the methods that can be considered. I have used this method on many occasions and it is proven to be able to unlock the secrets behind certain names.
The workings of the onomastic method that I use are: translating a certain name by breaking it down into arrangements of letters in Chinese characters and then interpreting the meaning of each Chinese letter that appears.
For the name MAHFUZ, the characters obtained are:
MA (麻 pinyin: Ma)
H (黃 pinyin: huang)
FU (附 pinyin: fu)
Z (子 pinyin: zi)
So, from the name Mahfuz we find the phrase “Ma huang Fuzi” which means: Ephedra Aconite (Ma huang= Ephedra; Fuzi= aconite).
Then what is the meaning of this “Ephedra Aconite”?
Ephedra is a plant that has effects or properties similar to amphetamine because the two have a similar chemical structure. The layman’s language for amphetamine is crystal methamphetamine. Meanwhile, Aconite contains hallucinogenic substances, such as marijuana and LSD.
The secret meaning behind the name ‘Mahfuz’ is like saying that to access ‘Lawh Mahfuz’ requires the use of a combination of amphetamine and hallucinogenic substances.
Is this exaggerated, extreme or misleading? please readers look into each other’s hearts. Remember, to the heart! not to mind! if you think about it you might get a subjective view…. 🙂
In fact, this method has actually been used by monks and saints for thousands of years to be able to trance and access the spiritual realm. Sufis and Islamic scientists in the past also used this method.
Applied the onomastic method to uncover the secrets behind certain names
I have used this method for translating and for uncovering the secrets behind certain names. For example to translate the name ‘Simapurusiang’ (a charismatic king from the kingdom of Luwu).
司 Sī means: to be in charge/control/manage/officer
馬 mǎ means: horse
浦 pǔ: river bank
乳rǔ: milk
死 sǐ: died
暗 àn: vaguely/ secret/ hidden
I then interpret it in the form of a sentence: Be a caretaker – horse – [on] riverbank – milk (or ‘susu’ in Indonesian language, susu anagram = ussu) – death or grave – [which] is kept secret/hidden.
When I translated the name Simapurusiang, the keyword ‘riverbank – milk’ was the part that made me quite pensive, but not for long. Immediately I got a hint (intuition) that the anagram for the word ‘milk’ or ‘susu’ in Indonesian language is: ‘ussu’. So the keyword ‘river bank – milk’ refers to the phrase ‘ussu river bank’ – a name of a river which I know is located in East Luwu.
At this point, the question that arose in my mind was: “Is there really a horse-shaped land on the banks of the Ussu River? If there are, the translation of the name Simapurusiang proved to be accurate!”
I immediately opened google maps. not long after, I found it. There is!
the discovery of a horse-shaped land on the banks of the Ussu River from translating the name Simapurusiang (one of the charismatic female king in the Luwu kingdom) is certainly an extraordinary thing.
before I discovered this horse-shaped land, the locals didn’t know there was such a thing in their territory.
The horse-shaped plot of land can be seen on Google Map, here.
